Jean Kapata And Joyce Simukoko Survive Road Accident-Access Full Details Below
Police recorded a Road Traffic Accident which occurred on 9th August ,2019 at Kapwila area along Nakonde- Mbala road 25 km west of Nakonde District at 1640 hours.
Involved was Henry Bwalya aged 41 years of House number 292/49 Lusaka who was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser GX from West to East with three passengers on board being Honourable Jean Kapata aged 59 years, Honourable Joyce Nonde Simukoko aged 62 years of House number 6 Chindo Lusaka and Christian Mwanza aged 41 years.
The accident happened when the Vehicle had a rear left tyre burst and the driver lost control of the Vechicle which went off the road on the left, Seven meters away from the road and stopped on its wheels.
As a result, the Vehicle had damaged left head lamp,left fender , passenger door and shuttered wind screen. All Occupants escaped with no injuries.
In another development Police in Mpongwe recorded a Fatal Road Traffic accident which occurred on 9th August, 2019 at 18:30 hrs in Chitaba area along Mpongwe – Luanshya road .
Involved was a Toyota Hiace Registration Number BCB 4570 which was extensively damaged driven by Charles Chanda of unknown age and address who had head injuries and died on the spot together with three passengers namely: (1).
Mtonga Mathews aged 39 years of Twashuka Luanshya (2) Unknown male adult and (3) Unknown female whilst the following Eleven other passengers who were also on board sustained serious body injuries .
The Accident happened when the motor vehicle which was approaching from the direction of South to North, was moving at an excessive speed and in the process the driver lost of the vehicle and overturned.
In a related development Police recorded another Fatal Road Traffic Accident which occurred on 9th August,2019 at about 1300 hours at Chiluhi area along Kabulamwanda- Chiluhi Road. Involved were two ox-carts following each other from North to South direction.
The accident happened when the second ox-cart lost control and in the process the oxen went and stepped on Female Shimbi Mudanda aged 20 years of Kaaso Village, Chief Mungaila in Namwala District and her baby James Manyika who was aged One year.
After the Accident the baby sustained fatal head injuries and died on the spot. The body was deposited at Namwala District Hospital awaiting postmortem while the mother sustained bruised left leg and backache.
She is admitted at Namwala District Hospital.
