Tongas And Bembas Have Had Political Alliances From Pre Colonial Times-Access Full Details Below

Sometimes, we are forced to utter strong language just to counter rogue voices that insult other tribes.
But we would prefer and pray we all find of great importance the spirit of unity….
We are not different because we speak different languages. We are only different because we think differently and have different preferences….
Sadly, all Zambian tribes have clans and traditional cousins… Sadly, this is what we have primitively taken into politics (nepotism and traditional cousinship)!
The continued and much talked about Bemba-Tonga tension is a sad state of affair.
Without doubt, Bemba-Tonga alliance was the strongest Black voice for Northern Rhodesia.. But dear friends, the young generation, and a crop of some irresponsible old people have split us.
If we take politics as a call to serve the nation in whatever capacity and not to serve a leader who is also a civil servant, we would not find jokers in both opposition and ruling parties.
As we speak, Zambia is divided where it was in 1911; Luangwa River up Luapula, that northeast block as one administrative block or Northeast Rhodesia. And west of it as Northwest Rhodesia+Barotseland.
Without doubt, Bemba-Tonga are the most active in politics and mistrust and misunderstanding is expected. Sadly, this difference is tied to perceptions and stereotypes…and this begins , always at home , in our homes. Adults, you are the ones spoiling the future…
Bemba-Tonga groups are the largest in Zambia. This was done way back in 1880s etc. They are connected by both rail and road…they trade merchandise and political views every day. While this is OK, it is bad when we isolate humanism and put block identity in front!
No one is better and no one is worse off than the other… We have just messed up because we have used a wrong crop of politicians.
At the rate things are, Zambians should be given 3 hours daily to watch the Rwanda and Burundi genocide and see what becomes of a citizen who becomes a refugee.
Brothers and sisters, never take peace for granted!
Hold it dearly.
One day, you will miss my voice. It will be too late.
If you are a parent, think of losing all your children and you have to run for dear life…our neighbours are watching. Some tribes do not have tribes and clan members in other countries….you will be stuck with language barrier and rejection!
Treasure what you!
Love your neighbour as much as yourself (GOD’S GOLDEN COMMANDMENT)!
